Overall, I love the In Death series by J.D. Robb but every once in a while, one of the books in this series really doesn't get me hooked. Fantasy in Death is one of those books for me. This book took me like a month to get through when I usually finish the In Death books within a week. Basically in this book Eve is trying to solve a murder where the victim Bart was killed playing a holographic video game. I think the biggest reason I couldn't get into this book was because the murder method was too unbelievable for me and I figured out how Bart was killed/who the killer was by the ending. I know there are many futuristic aspects to this series but I just found this one too unbelievable for me. I think another issue for me is the fact that most of this story revolved around gaming and EDD which are topics I am not all that fascinated by. 2.5-3 stars.
